Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking an Assistant Director for Business of Bioscience to lead the development and implementation of two OnRamps courses in partnership with UT Austin units. This role drives distance, hybrid, and in-person learning, ensuring high-quality instructional practices and program outcomes across multiple courses.

Responsibilities include leading course staff, coordinating interventions, and promoting a community of learning.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in education, instructional design, organizational development, public administration, business, or related field.
• Experience leading teams to meet goals and strategic outcomes.
• Exceptional customer service skills engaging multiple stakeholders with tact.
• Ability to communicate technical information to lay audiences respectfully.
• Understanding of high school teaching and learning.
• Proficient in Canvas LMS or another LMS.
• Ability to learn new things and adapt quickly within an organization.

Responsibilities

• Leads a team to develop two bioscience business courses for on-time delivery.
• Builds a network of OnRamps instructors to provide support via multiple channels.
• Leads year-long OnRamps Professional Learning cycle to boost instructor and student success.
• Guides course staff to implement OnRamps Four Pillars with fidelity and staff development.
• Uses data-driven approaches to improve instructor experience and program outcomes.
• Collaborates with multiple university teams to ensure effective course delivery.
• Develops and manages budgets for course development and recruitment.
• Applies evaluation procedures to monitor program outcomes and drive continuous improvement.
