Job summary

Ball State University is attracting applications for a full-time Assistant Director of the Biomedical Sciences Program. This in-person, 12-month professional position guides and manages the Biomedical Sciences program and mentors undergraduates toward career readiness.

The role includes advising students, developing workshops, coordinating curriculum changes, and supporting recruitment and retention efforts while collaborating with the biology department.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Biology, biomedical sciences, or a related field.
  • At least one year of managerial experience in the biomedical or related field.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Teach and assist in career readiness courses.
  • Advise students on academics and professional school applications.
  • Develop and deliver workshops and guest lectures for student programs.
  • Coordinate with the undergraduate curriculum coordinator on program changes.
  • Participate in recruitment and retention events (evenings/weekends).
  • Support the Director with data gathering, analysis, and reporting.
  • Stay updated on trends in health professions advising via trainings and webinars.
