Job summary

Saint Peter's University in Jersey City, NJ seeks an Assistant Director of Advancement Operations & Donor Engagement to oversee gifts, pledges, scholarships, and data integrity in Raiser's Edge NXT and related systems. You will drive accurate reporting and ensure compliance across advancement operations.

You will partner with Finance and Donor Engagement to produce timely reports, manage donor acknowledgments, and lead a small team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 4–5 years of professional experience in advancement operations, donor engagement or stewardship, fundraising administration, data management, or related field.
• Experience with Raiser's Edge NXT; Almabase or PostOmatic preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills with high data integrity.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee processing, recording, reconciliation, and quality control of gifts and pledges in Raiser's Edge NXT and related systems.
• Maintain accurate alumni and donor data records, including pledges and scholarship funds.
• Serve as main liaison with the Finance Office for deposits, reporting and reconciliation; lead monthly meetings.
• Own scholarship stewardship end-to-end with Finance and Financial Aid partners.
• Oversee donor acknowledgment letters, receipts, and pledge reminders with Donor Engagement.
• Coordinate donor stewardship activities and recognition efforts.
• Manage back-end of the Events module in Raiser's Edge and Almabase with Alumni Engagement.
• Produce timely financial, scholarship, and stewardship reports for leadership and partners.
• Supervise staff and students; document and improve procedures and trainings.
