Job summary

The Nurturing Nook in Milwaukee seeks an Assistant Director who is energetic, self-motivated, and passionate about early childhood education. The role requires Level 12+ on the ECE WI Registry and prior licensed childcare Lead Teacher experience, with a strong preference for managerial leadership within a center.

Shift is Monday–Friday, full-time, 8:30am–5:30pm, with compensation $20–$24/hour based on education and experience.

Qualifications

• Level 12+ on the ECE WI Registry is required.
• Experience in a licensed childcare facility as a Lead Teacher is required.
• Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Strong preference for managerial/leadership experience in a childcare center.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director with developing and executing an on-going program of activities for children and staff.
• Assist with enrollment activities, including tours and marketing materials distribution.
• Ensure compliance with all State and Company Regulations via Licensing Checks.
• Provide guidance to teachers for curriculum, lesson plans and classroom organization.
• Establish professional relationships with parents and employees.

The Nurturing Nook in Milwaukee is a licensed childcare center seeking an Assistant Director! This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, energetic leader in training who is passionate about early childhood education.

To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require Level 12+ on the ECE WI Registry and previous experience working in a licensed childcare facility as a Lead Teacher. Strong preference to have managerial/leadership experience in a childcare center and an Associate or Bachelor's Degree in ECE.

Required Shift: Monday - Friday, Full-time, 8:30am-5:30pm

Compensation: $20 - $24/hour, based on education and experience

Main Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the Director with developing and executing an on-going program of activities that contribute to the care, growth and development of the children and staff.
• Assist the Director with enrollment activities, including tours, distribution of marketing materials to potential families.
• Assist the Director with ensuring all State and Company Regulations are always being followed using Licensing Checks.
• Provide guidance to teachers for creative curriculum, lesson plans, and classroom organization.
• Establish professional and supportive relationships with parents and employees connected to the operation of the center.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
