Job summary

The Learning Tree of Elgin West is seeking an Assistant Director to join our licensed childcare center. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, energetic leader in training who is passionate about early childhood education.

The role requires IL Director Qualification and prior admin experience in a licensed facility. You will support the Director with enrollment, regulatory compliance, and curriculum guidance, while Monday–Friday full-time with rotating 8am–5pm and 9am–6pm shifts.

Qualifications

• IL Director Qualification and prior admin experience in a licensed childcare facility.
• Must be at least 23 years old and willing to drive the center van.
• Full-time position with rotating schedule (8am-5pm and 9am-6pm).

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director with developing and executing an ongoing program of activities that contribute to the care, growth and development of the children and staff.
• Assist the Director with enrollment activities, including tours, distribution of marketing materials to potential families.
• Assist the Director with ensuring all State and Company Regulations are always being followed using Licensing Checks.
• Provide guidance to teachers for creative curriculum, lesson plans, and classroom organization.
• Establish professional and supportive relationships with parents and employees connected to the operation of the center.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.

To be QUALIFIED for this position, we requireIL Director Qualificationand p revious experience working in a licensed childcare facility in an admin role. Must be at least 23 years old and willing to drive our center van.

Required Shift: Monday - Friday, Full-time, rotating schedule, 8am-5pm and 9am-6pm

Compensation: $22 - $25/hour, based on education and experience
