Job summary

SBH Fashion is seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Designer to join our fast-paced development team. You will work closely with the Lead Designer, supporting every aspect of the product development process from concept to final sample approval.

The ideal candidate has strong Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills, a solid understanding of garment construction, and excellent organizational abilities to manage data entry, sample room coordination, and overseas vendor communications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of professional industry experience (relevant design internship experience acceptable).
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is required.
• Solid baseline understanding of garment construction, apparel manufacturing, and fabrics.
• Strong organizational skills, multi-tasking capabilities, and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design Support: Assist the Lead Designer in all stages of the product development life cycle, translating design concepts into technical realities.
• PLM Management: Perform accurate data entry and maintain comprehensive style details within our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
• In-House Sample Collaboration: Partner directly with our in-house sample room, working side-by-side with pattern makers, cutters, and sewers to execute prototype samples accurately.
• Supply & Material Logistics: Coordinate and send sample fabrics and components directly to overseas factories for duplicate sampling and production.
• Sample Tracking & Follow-Up: Proactively manage, track, and follow up on the status of all prototype and production samples returning from overseas vendors.
• Cross-Border Communication: Maintain clear and timely daily communication with overseas factories to address inquiries regarding construction, fit, and production materials.
