Job summary

Confidential, located in the Arts District of Los Angeles, seeks an Associate Designer to support the Senior Designer on research, design, development, and pre-production for monthly collections. The role involves concept-to-sample work, trend research, and cross-department collaboration.

You will assist with pattern development, tech packs, and maintaining detailed collection records, while staying organized and proactive in a fast-paced fashion environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator for sketching and development
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Understanding of sample development process

Responsibilities

• Work with the senior designer to create monthly collections from concept to samples
• Plan for, anticipate, and execute tasks related to designing and producing a sample line
• Manage execution of line samples from pattern to sewing completion with quality execution
• Understand garment construction and production feasibility
• Keep detailed records of all pieces in the collection and pass accurate info to other departments
• Conduct monthly trend presentations and contribute to development tech packs
• Engage in ongoing research and development of new ideas, treatments, washes, novelties
• Be a good communicator, approachable, and team-oriented

ASSOCIATE DESIGNER

We are a design & development company in the Arts District in Los Angeles. We create lifestyle collections monthly and bi-monthly for both large and small retailers/boutiques. We have a position open for an Associate Designer to work under the Senior Designer on all research, design, development & pre-production aspects of our collection. This person will plan for, anticipate, and execute many of the tasks that revolve around designing & producing a sample line.

Job description

• Creative, motivated, organized
• Work side by side with the senior designer to create, develop monthly collections from concept to samples
• Must be proficient in Adobe Illustrator sketching
• Manage execution of line samples from pattern, to sewing completion with superior execution
• Understanding of garment construction
