Job summary

Soni in New York is seeking an Assistant Designer to join our fast-paced design team. The role focuses on CAD creation, development of tech packs, and coordinating the sample process from proto through TOP while collaborating with design, production, and overseas partners.

You will support seasonal concept development, color-card preparation, and line reviews, and prepare production-ready artwork and prints. Strong communication and detail orientation are essential.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of apparel design experience, preferably within activewear or related categories.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop on a Mac platform.
• Experience creating technical sketches, CADs, and tech packs.
• Understanding of the apparel product development and sample approval process.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate product specifications and support the design team throughout the product lifecycle.

Compensation: Up to $75,000

Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
