We are seeking an Assistant Designer to support our premier retail client’s Apparel Design team with sketching, fabric development, PLM management, research, and submits. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, highly organized individual with a passion for fashion and a keen eye for design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in creating detailed sketches and technical flats for new designs.
• Manage and organize PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) data, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Support fabric development, including tracking submits, approvals, and communication with vendors.
• Conduct trend and market research to support the design team in concept development.
• Prepare and maintain design boards, tech packs, and seasonal overviews.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with design, production, and merchandising teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
• 1+ years of experience in apparel design.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Experience with PLM software.
• An understanding of garment construction.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

• Previous experience with fabric development and working with vendors.
