The Kroger Co. is seeking a dedicated team member to support department operations and deliver exceptional customer service in Anchorage.

You will help maintain a clean, safe environment, assist in achieving sales goals and supervise daily department activities to ensure smooth operations and friendly shopping experiences for customers. Ideal candidates bring strong communication, basic math skills and the ability to handle busy periods.

Qualifications

• Effective communication skills.
• Basic math abilities (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Must meet the minimum physical demands of the position.
• Must be 18 or older.
• Desirable: management experience.
• Desirable: retail experience.
• Desirable: high school diploma or equivalent.
• Desirable: second language skills (speaking/reading/writing).

Responsabilités

• Adhere to all local, state and federal health and civil codes.
• Create a welcoming environment by answering questions about products.
• Gain knowledge of products and respond to inquiries with suggestions.
• Understand store layout and locate products efficiently.
• Inform associates about in-store promotions and seasonal ads.
• Maintain security standards and inventory awareness.
• Oversee inventory processes and observe shift hours.
• Demonstrate merchandising and cashier responsibilities.
• Ensure adherence to merchandising, customer service, labor controls and safety rules.
• Report safety risks or incidents and participate in loss prevention.
