Job summary

University of Toledo is seeking an Assistant Dean for Student Services in the College of Law. The role directs a broad range of services and programs to support academic, professional, and personal development for UT Law students, and leads ABA Standard 508 compliance efforts.

The position also oversees state bar character and fitness matters for 100+ students each year and collaborates with the Deans and Offices of Admissions and Professional Development to foster essential attorney

Qualifications

• J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school and admission to a state bar (active or inactive status).
• Three to five years of experience managing people and projects across diverse constituencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead student services and programs to support academic, professional, and personal development for UT Law students.
• Serve as the lead agent for compliance with ABA Standard 508 Student Support Services.
• Manage state bar character and fitness investigations for 100+ students annually.
• Partner with the Dean, Academic Dean, Office of Admissions, and Office of Professional Development to build attorney competencies.
• Engage students, faculty, staff, alumni, and University colleagues with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrate leadership, judgment, and project management to delegate and execute initiatives.
