Job summary

South College Dallas Campus invites applications for Assistant Dean of Nursing. The position collaborates with the Associate Dean to deliver educational programs and services, raise standards of scholarship, and support accreditation efforts.

Responsibilities include budgeting, faculty recruitment and evaluation, and organizing advising and class schedules. The role also involves cross-campus collaboration and external community engagement.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing required; Doctorate in relevant discipline preferred.
• Proven leadership and management skills in an academic setting.
• Experience with teaching, service, and scholarly activities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with faculty and program coordinators to promote commitment and results.
• Maintain high standards of scholarship and service; ensure programmatic accreditation.
• Administer budget allocations and recruit, hire, and evaluate faculty.
• Organize student advising procedures and faculty teaching loads; schedule classes.
• Develop and maintain collaborations with other colleges/programs for inter-professional opportunities.
• Coordinate planning and assessment with the School of Nursing; represent the program in the community.

Education

Master of Science in Nursing
