Job summary

Unitek Learning is seeking an Assistant Dean to support the Dean in instructional and management duties at the Workforce Development site. You will supervise nursing program activities, implement special projects, and collaborate with the Dean to ensure program quality and regulatory compliance.

You will coordinate clinical partnerships, calendar management, curriculum development, and student/faculty processes while maintaining teaching loads and ensuring timely evaluations.

Qualifications

• California RN license (CA) or RN license from the state where WFD site is located
• Master’s or higher degree in nursing, education, or administration
• BSN with enrollment in MSN
• Minimum of one year teaching experience in pre- or post-licensure nursing programs
• One year’s continuous experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Commitment to diversity as defined by law
• Ability to collaborate with external and internal stakeholders
• Leadership style emphasizing collaboration and teamwork
• Proficiency with technology (MS Teams, Zoom, Learning Management Systems)
• Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams
• Experience in supervision, planning, and budget preparation for program maintenance

Responsibilities

• Assist the Dean with planning, development, management, updating, and evaluation of the nursing program
• Provide site supervision of nursing activities and compliance with standards
• Coordinate clinical site liaison, calendars, and matrix
• Oversee curriculum development and implementation
• Ensure program compliance with Board/accreditor rules and site visits
• Maintain student records and faculty/staff documentation
• Assist with admission process and orientation
• Maintain 50% teaching load in skills/simulation/clinical labs
• Ensure timely completion of course and clinical evaluations
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Meet monthly with Clinical Partner and Assistant Dean to review operations
• Participate in program committees and maintain documentation
