Job summary

The University of Georgia in Athens seeks an Assistant Dean for Education to lead the Ivester School of Nursing's educational programs and clinician-track faculty. This role directs program development, evaluation, and quality improvement to prepare a highly skilled nursing workforce for Georgia and beyond.

Partner with the Dean to advance accreditation, NCLEX readiness, and strategic priorities, while guiding faculty recruitment, mentoring, and assessment across degree programs.

Qualifications

• Earned doctoral degree (PhD, DNP, or equivalent) in nursing or a closely related field.
• Current or eligibility for registered nurse licensure in the state of Georgia.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in nursing education, including leadership in curriculum development, program evaluation, and faculty management.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for design, implementation, and evaluation of all degree programs.
• Ensure curricula align with CCNE accreditation standards and state requirements.
• Lead accreditation activities and engage with external agencies.
• Supervise clinical track faculty and instructors to ensure teaching excellence.
