Job summary

The University of Georgia’s Ivester School of Nursing invites applications for an Assistant Dean for Education to lead educational programs and clinical track faculty. The role reports to the Dean and guides strategic and operational management for developing, evaluating, and improving all degree programs.

Qualifications

• Earned doctoral degree (PhD, DNP, or equivalent) in nursing or a closely related field.
• Current or eligibility for registered nurse licensure in the state of Georgia.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in nursing education, including demonstrated leadership in curriculum development, program evaluation, and faculty management.
• Demonstrated evidence of nursing accreditation processes (CCNE or ACEN) and familiarity with Georgia Board of Nursing regulatory requirements.
• Track record of successful faculty and instructor recruitment, mentorship, and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the development, implementation, systematic evaluation, and continuous quality improvement of all degree programs.
• Serve as academic leader for educational programs and clinical track faculty, reporting to the Dean.
• Partner with the Dean to advance the school’s educational mission and develop a highly prepared nursing workforce for Georgia and beyond.
