The University of Georgia’s Ivester School of Nursing invites applications for an Assistant Dean for Education to lead educational programs and clinical track faculty. Qualifications

  • Earned doctoral degree (PhD, DNP, or equivalent) in nursing or a closely related field.
  • Current or eligibility for registered nurse licensure in the state of Georgia.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in nursing education, including demonstrated leadership in curriculum development, program evaluation, and faculty management.
  • Demonstrated evidence of nursing accreditation processes (CCNE or ACEN) and familiarity with Georgia Board of Nursing regulatory requirements.
  • Track record of successful faculty and instructor recruitment, mentorship, and evaluation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for the development, implementation, systematic evaluation, and continuous quality improvement of all degree programs.
  • Serve as academic leader for educational programs and clinical track faculty, reporting to the Dean.
  • Partner with the Dean to advance the school’s educational mission and develop a highly prepared nursing workforce for Georgia and beyond.
