Job summary

Temple University’s Institutional Advancement Department seeks an Assistant Dean of Development and Alumni Relations for the College of Education and Human Development. This role will lead fundraising, cultivate donors, and manage a team, reporting to the AVP of Development and the Dean.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and at least seven years of related experience.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience in higher education fundraising preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage fundraising within the College of Education and Human Development.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with new and prospective donors.
  • Engage in major gift solicitation, including gifts of $50,000 and higher.
  • Collaborate with Institutional Advancement central operations to align priorities.
  • Oversee the College's Board of Visitors and recruit new members.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support College priorities and funding.
  • Interact with senior staff and faculty across Temple University.
  • Supervise the development and alumni relations staff (development associate and major gift officer).
  • Travel locally, regionally, and nationally to cultivate and steward donors and attend events.
