Job summary

University of Minnesota Duluth invites applications for the Assistant Dean for Clinical Curriculum to oversee the Serve medical curriculum for the MD program on the Duluth campus. The role requires strategic vision, executive leadership, and collaboration with faculty, students, and campus partners to advance LCME-aligned outcomes.

Reporting to the Duluth Regional Campus Associate Dean for Undergraduate Medical Education, the incumbent will guide curricular improvement, ensure integration across

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Active clinical practice with at least 5 years experience.
• Experience with medical student teaching.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and day-to-day direction, coordination, and implementation of a successful clinical curriculum for the MD program on the Duluth Campus.
• Collaborate with Clinical Curriculum Teams on the Twin Cities and St. Cloud Campuses for day-to-day curricular management and delivery.
• Collaborate with Clinical Skills and 1Health Course Directors to prepare all students for the Clinical Immersion phase of the Serve Curriculum and entrustment on the 13 Core EPAs prior to graduation.
• Communicate and collaborate with affiliate training sites regarding curricular changes, onboarding, resource distribution and site-based faculty and staff infrastructure.
• Collaborate with specialty directors and specialty leads to develop and continuously improve a customized Specialty-Specific Transitions phase for residency readiness on the Duluth campus.
