Job summary

Lahey Hospital & Medical Center (LHMC) and partners seek an academic physician to serve as Assistant/Associate Dean for Undergraduate Medical Education. This leadership role oversees the regional VISTA curriculum, UME operations, accreditation, and faculty development, while maintaining an active LHMC clinical practice around half of the time.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required; Master's in Education strongly preferred.
• Board-certified; eligible for Massachusetts medical license.
• 4+ years of leadership in LCME-accredited undergraduate medical education.

Responsibilities

• Lead curriculum delivery and quality improvement for the regional UME portfolio.
• Oversee UME operations, accreditation and curriculum committees.
• Collaborate with campus and system leaders to ensure a strong learner experience.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop faculty leaders for innovative curriculum delivery.
• Maintain an active clinical practice at LHMC (~50% time).
