Job summary

The University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences seeks an Assistant/Associate Dean for Clinical Undergraduate Medical Education to provide strategic leadership across the M3 and M4 clinical curriculum, integrating foundational and clinical sciences with longitudinal experiences.

The role integrates administrative leadership with clinical practice and collaborates with multiple DME leaders to ensure high-quality educational experiences.

Qualifications

• MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree.
• 8–10 years of experience as a teaching faculty member in an academic medical setting.
• Excellence in medical student education, clinical teaching, and curriculum development.
• Experience in educational leadership, curriculum administration, program evaluation, or CQI.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the design, organization, implementation, evaluation, and CQI of the clinical curriculum for M3–M4 UME.
• Collaborate with DME leadership and program directors to ensure a cohesive, integrated, progressive curriculum.
• Lead and promote alignment with educational program objectives and the college mission.
• Foster accessibility, integrity, collaboration, and scholarship across instructional sites and clinical partners.
