Job summary

American Senior Communities is seeking an Assistant Culinary Manager to help provide nutritious, balanced meals that enhance residents’ dining experiences. You will support the Culinary Services Manager and contribute to a positive kitchen environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, sanitation training (can be obtained after hire), and prior cooking experience is preferred. Full-time opportunities with comprehensive benefits are offered.

  • Completion of an approved sanitation course (can complete upon hire).
  • Cooking experience preferred.

What will you be doing and how will you make a difference at American Senior Communities?

  • Making a difference in the lives of the residents we serve by providing them with nutritious meals that add to the quality of their lives.
  • Assists the Culinary Services Manager to ensure we are providing nourishing, palatable and well-balanced meals, enhancing the dining experience of our residents, and helping the other culinary team members grown in their role.
  • Assists with the interview process of new culinary team members, ordering food and supplies, scheduling, and training new team members.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED; or, one (1) to three (3) months related experience and/or training; or, equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Completion of an approved sanitation course (can complete upon hire)
  • Cooking experience preferred
