Responsibilities

• Assist Head Coach with planning and conducting practices, meets, and team activities.
• Provide instruction on running techniques, conditioning, training, and race strategies.
• Supervise and support student-athletes during practices, meets, and team activities.
• Assist with developing training plans and preparing athletes for competition.
• Promote teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, and academic responsibility.
• Monitor student-athlete safety and follow emergency procedures.
• Assist with meet preparation, equipment, uniforms, transportation, and other program needs.
• Maintain positive and professional communication with student-athletes, parents/guardians, coaches, and school staff.
• Follow all district, school, athletic department, and NMAA policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Cross Country Coach or Athletic Director.

Assistant Cross Country Coach – High School

Position Summary
The Assistant Cross Country Coach supports the Head Cross Country Coach in developing and managing the high school cross country program.
