Job summary

Brainerd Public Schools is seeking an Assistant Cross Country Coach for the Senior High level. This role involves providing leadership, guidance, and support in the athletics program, ensuring student athletes are motivated to achieve their maximum potential.

The ideal candidate will have prior coaching experience and be able to effectively communicate with students, parents, and staff. This position promotes collaboration with the Head Coach and compliance with all relevant regulations.

Position Summary

The Assistant Coach provides leadership and expertise regarding the rules, strategies, and techniques for the assigned activity, utilizing knowledge of the specific equipment, physical fitness and safety to prepare participants mentally and physically to compete at the highest level.

Essential Functions

• Facilitates successful practices and attends meets.
• Provide leadership and guidance to staff in support of the Head Coach.
• Encourage student participation and establish rapport.
• Motivate participants/athletes to achieve maximum potential.
• Work collaboratively with Head Coach, Activities Director, families and community resources.
• Maintains compliance with all rules and regulations.
• Complies with and supports all school district regulations and policies.
• Other duties as determined by the Head Coach.
