Upper Merion Area School District in King of Prussia, PA seeks a High School Assistant Crew Coach for the 2026-27 school year. Responsibilities include teaching on-water rowing and ergometer workouts, assisting with practice plans, ensuring safety, and coordinating race-day logistics.

The successful candidate must complete all required clearances, physical and TB testing, and district prerequisites prior to employment. CPR/First Aid certification is required or willingness to obtain it.

Responsabilidades

• Teach proper on-the-water rowing and sculling techniques, ergometer workouts, boat handling, and race strategies.
• Work with the head coach to develop and implement practice plans.
• Enforce safety rules, manage on-water hazards, and drive coaching launches.
• Supervise students before, during, and after practices and regattas.
• Assist with launching and docking, perform routine boat and oar repairs, and manage gear inventory.
• Travel with the team to weekend races, help rig and trailer boats, and manage race-day logistics.
• Maintain positive, clear communication with student-athletes, parents, and school athletic staff.
• Model and promote good sportsmanship.
• Availability for early morning and after-school weekday practices and weekend regattas.
• CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to get the certification
