Job summary

South Middle School is seeking an Assistant Coach for Track & Field at Pennridge School District, Perkasie, PA. The role assists the Head Coach, mentors student-athletes, and promotes academic growth and sportsmanship within a positive team culture.

The position requires a high school diploma, some coaching/playing experience, and the ability to work with school staff and adhere to applicable rules and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Some coaching or playing experience in track and field (preferably at the high school level).
• Basic understanding of the game, rules, and strategy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with the Head Coach and school staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach with planning and leading practices and competitions.
• Support the development of student-athletes’ skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
• Promote academic achievement and personal growth among athletes.
• Assist with supervision and safety of all team members during activities.
• Help manage equipment and maintain team standards of conduct.
• Model positive behavior and represent the school in a professional manner.
• Follow all school, district, league, and state athletic association rules.
