Job summary

Oura is seeking an Assistant Controller to lead the US month-end close, ensure GAAP compliance, and uphold accurate financial reporting for a high-growth, public-ready environment.

You will oversee balance sheet integrity, intercompany activity, and variance analysis while partnering with Technical Accounting and FP&A to support budgeting and forecasting. Mentoring and process modernization are key parts of this role.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership within general accounting / controllership.
• Deep expertise in US GAAP, close processes, and financial reporting.
• Experience with audit management and SOX readiness in a public-company environment.
• CPA certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end US month-end close, governance, cross-functional coordination, and reporting to executive leadership.
• Review high-risk journal entries and ensure consistency across the organization.
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations, FX translation, and intercompany eliminations for audit-ready results.
• Design scalable workflows and drive automation to shorten close cycle times.
• Serve as primary point of contact for external auditors and SOX readiness.
• Collaborate with Technical Accounting and FP&A to interpret policies and support budgeting/forecasting.
• Mentor and scale a high-performing accounting team.
