Job summary

LOTH, Inc. seeks an Assistant Controller to lead accounting processes, financial reporting, and internal controls in our Cincinnati corporate office.

Responsibilities include month-end close, general ledger reconciliations, and audit coordination while ensuring GAAP compliance and tax filing accuracy. The role requires a bachelor’s in accounting/finance with 3–5 years of supervisory experience; MBA/CMA/CPA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required.
• Minimum 3-5 years of prior accounting experience with supervisory responsibility.
• MBA with finance concentration, CMA or CPA preferred.
• Knowledge of GAAP strongly preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing or distribution environment is a plus.
• Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
• Excellent communication and ability to lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end close process for all entities.
• Prepare and analyze balance sheet, income statements, and reports.
• Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents.
• Maintain internal controls and fixed asset systems.
• Reconcile balance sheets and monitor monthly results vs budget.
• Prepare and file Sales, Use, and CAT tax returns; ensure compliance.
• Lead annual audit and coordinate with auditors and tax authorities.
• Manage staff and develop talent across locations.
