Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• CPA certification and/or MBA preferred.
• 5–10 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and state tax rules.
• Experience with audits, budgeting, forecasting and regulatory compliance.
• Working knowledge of US Federal Government contracts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the company’s finance and accounting functions and provide guidance to accounting staff.
• Manage day-to-day activities including accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing, payroll, inventories, fixed assets, general and cost accounting.
• Develop and issue timely monthly/quarterly financial records for the Executive Team, parent company and Board.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and tax reporting per federal, state, and local laws.
• Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to improve performance.
• Coordinate external audits, banks, insurers, and 401(k) trustees; manage tax filings.
• Coordinate renewals of insurance policies and manage travel to sites as needed.
