Job summary

Exosens is seeking an Assistant Controller to lead the USA finance operations from Sturbridge, MA. You will oversee day-to-day accounting, treasury, budgeting and financial reporting, while guiding staff and ensuring GAAP compliance.

This role offers the potential to transition to Controller in January 2028, with opportunities to interact with auditors, banks, and Exosens Group leadership. Strong analytical and collaborative skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• CPA certification and/or MBA preferred.
• 5-10 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and state tax rules.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Excel.
• Experience supporting audits, budgeting, forecasting and compliance.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to nonfinancial stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the company's finance and accounting functions and guide accounting staff.
• Manage day-to-day accounts payable, cash disbursements, payroll and cost accounting.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly financial records for executives and Board.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and regulatory reporting across federal/state/local levels.
• Coordinate annual income tax filings and insurance renewals.
• Provide timely financial analysis and strategic recommendations.
