Job summary

Vaco by Highspring seeks a hands-on Assistant Controller to help scale the finance and accounting function for its Dallas-based manufacturing subsidiary. You will supervise divisional accounting, ensure GAAP-compliant reporting, and partner with operations to reveal manufacturing costs, margins, and performance.

This role requires building scalable processes, strengthening internal controls, and improving financial analysis to support growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead division's accounting and financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
• Oversee month-end close, general ledger, reconciliations, inventories, and fixed assets.
• Develop and implement scalable accounting policies and internal controls as the organization scales.
• Coordinate with corporate finance to ensure alignment with reporting deadlines and standards.
• Manage external audit support and documentation control across the division.
• Oversee manufacturing cost accounting, including standard costing and variance analysis.
• Provide analyses of revenue, gross margin, OPEX, working capital, and other metrics.
• Partner with operations leadership to improve visibility into manufacturing performance and margins.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and performance management for the division.
