Job summary

Precision Coils is seeking an Assistant Controller to assist the Controller in managing all accounting and financial activities for a midsize manufacturing business in Tennessee. The role covers financial reporting, month‑end close, journal entries, reconciliations, payroll support, AP/AR oversight, and ERP administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and inventory accounting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll, general ledger, and inventory accounting.
• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain supporting documentation.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and balance sheet analyses.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Assist in preparing financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
• Maintain inventory costing records and support inventory controls.
• Support payroll administration and regulatory reporting.
• Assist with tax compliance and audit requests.
• Support ERP administration and process improvements.
• Provide backup support for the Controller during absences.
