Job summary

This senior role partners with the CFO/Business Unit Controller, drives process improvements, and develops the accounting team.

You will own general ledger governance, manufacturing accounting, audits, and financial modeling, while guiding policy decisions and ensuring timely, decision‑ready insights for leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Master’s degree preferred for advanced roles.
• CPA or CMA strongly preferred for leadership.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with close, reporting, G/L, controls, and audits.
• 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Manufacturing/cost‑accounting experience including inventory, standard costing, and variances.
• Experience in multi-location or public-company environments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ability to research complex accounting matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and reconciliations.
• Prepare and review financial statements per U.S. GAAP and company policies.
• Own general ledger integrity and chart of accounts.
• Oversee manufacturing accounting, inventory valuation, and cost variances.
• Maintain internal controls and lead remediation of deficiencies.
• Coordinate audits and ensure audit readiness.
• Lead corporate compliance and timely financial submissions.
• Support capital expenditures and financial modeling.
• Oversee AP/AR, payroll, fixed assets, and treasury activities.
• Develop staff and ensure backup coverage for critical processes.
• Improve systems, data quality, and automation.
