Job summary

Our client is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join their finance team in the United States. This role covers day-to-day accounting operations, GAAP compliance, and supporting the Controller on strategic initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, CPA preferred, and strong ERP/Excel skills. This position offers leadership growth and exposure to audits and financial reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; supervisory experience a plus.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Dynamics) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll oversight
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reports
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff
• Assist the Controller with special projects and process improvement initiatives
