Job summary

Epoch Concepts LLC, based in Littleton, CO, seeks an Assistant Controller to support the Controller in managing day-to-day accounting, GAAP financial reporting, and government contract compliance including DCAA, FAR/DFARS, and indirect rate management.

The role combines commercial accounting with GovCon compliance, requiring leadership of accounting staff and cross-functional collaboration to strengthen controls and processes.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience with government contracts.
• CPA preferred; bachelor’s in accounting/finance.
• Knowledge of FAR/DFARS and cost accounting principles.
• GAAP and government cost accounting experience essential.
• Supervisory or team-lead experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end close per GAAP.
• Oversee general ledger, reconciliations, and schedules.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses.
• Supervise accounting staff including AP/AR/payroll/billing.
• Support cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
• Maintain internal controls and ERP data integrity.
• Support government contract billing and audits.
