Job summary

F3EA Inc. in Savannah, GA is seeking a Controller to lead accounting operations, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness.

You will manage the close, financial reporting, cash flow, accounts payable, and government contract accounting while ensuring GAAP/DFARS compliance and accurate cost structures. The role requires extensive GovCon experience, strong Excel and ERP skills (Unanet GovCon), and leadership to drive internal controls and strategic financial decisions.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship (required for security clearance eligibility)
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline
• Minimum seven (7) years progressive accounting experience
• Minimum three (3) years supporting Government contracting organizations
• Strong understanding of GAAP, FAR Part 31, DCAA Accounting Requirements, Indirect Rate Structures, Financial Statement Preparation, Government Billing
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with ERP systems (Unanet GovCon preferred)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to analyze large financial data sets
• Strong organizational and leadership abilities

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee all accounting operations in GAAP, FAR, DCAA and company policies
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Maintain General Ledger, chart of accounts, journal entries and intercompany transactions
• Ensure regulatory compliance and audit readiness for government contracting
• Prepare financial reports and support for executive leadership
• Oversee cash management, accounts payable, and vendor payments
• Coordinate with HR regarding payroll accounting impacts
• Lead budgeting and Unanet GovCon ERP setup
• Develop and improve internal accounting controls
• Mentor Finance staff and provide leadership to team

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration
