Job summary

AtlasAdvancement, Inc. seeks an Assistant Controller to join the finance leadership team.

The role oversees day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, month-end close, revenue recognition, internal controls, and compliance within a federal technology environment. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of progressive accounting experience in technology resellers, VARs, or government contractors, with strong Excel and ERP systems skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• 7+ years of accounting experience, preferably in technology reseller or government contractor sectors.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Hands-on experience with monthly and annual close processes.
• Expertise in ASC 606 revenue recognition and complex arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close with timely, accurate GAAP reporting.
• Oversee GL activities, reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and financial statement prep.
• Support accounting for hardware, software, subscriptions, maintenance, and professional services.
• Provide leadership on ASC 606 analysis of customer and vendor arrangements.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external auditors for audits.
• Enhance internal controls, policies, and documentation.
