Job summary

BearCom is seeking an Assistant Controller to own the accuracy and timeliness of the General Ledger. Reporting to the VP of Finance, you will collaborate with FP&A, Tax, and the leadership team in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires CPA, strong GAAP knowledge, and 10+ years of experience in accounting or finance. You will mentor staff, drive process improvements, and support audits while maintaining data integrity across systems.

Qualifications

• CPA required and GAAP expertise.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead and mentor accounting staff and work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger functions, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and close processes.
• Manage daily and month-end tasks with GAAP compliance including ASC rules.
• Lead a team of senior accountants and accounting managers.
• Support audits and ensure internal controls and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate on budgeting, forecasting, and financial system improvements.
• Drive process improvements and integration of acquisitions.
