Job summary

Divisions Maintenance Group (DMG) is seeking an Assistant Controller in Cincinnati, OH to lead our corporate accounting function and close process. You will oversee a 4–5 person team, drive improvements in the monthly close, and coordinate with external auditors and executive leadership.

The ideal candidate will have a CPA, strong GAAP knowledge, and proven leadership skills to advance a high-performing accounting organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA license active is required or in process.
• Experience with U.S. GAAP and internal controls is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly close process and drive process improvements.
• Manage accounting team of 4–5 members; hire, onboard and mentor staff.
• Coordinate external financial statement audits and prepare internal/external reports.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies in line with U.S. GAAP.
• Oversee general ledger and sub-systems; safeguard company cash.
• Support tax reporting and work with tax vendors as needed.
