Job summary

Hike Medical Inc. is seeking an Assistant Controller / Finance Manager to own day-to-day accounting operations and partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. You will manage the close process, strengthen controls, and support a growing finance function in a fast-moving health-tech startup.

The role requires 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience, a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, and strong U.S. GAAP knowledge. CPA is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and month-end close.
• Experience with financial reporting and reconciliations.
• CPA (or active candidacy) strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end close with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare and review financial statements under U.S. GAAP for leadership and investors.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support, and general ledger integrity.
• Build and improve internal controls, policies, and scalable processes.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis with department leaders.
• Coordinate annual audit and tax filings with external auditors.
• Oversee cash management, treasury reporting, and cash-flow forecasting.
• Help select and implement accounting/finance systems as we scale.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, tax, and reporting requirements.
