Job summary

Wwshemi is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the month-end close, oversee revenue recognition, inventory, and financial reporting, and strengthen controls to support growth. The hybrid role is based in San Leandro, CA. Requirements include 5+ years in accounting with 2–3 years in a manager role, strong U.S.

GAAP knowledge, ERP proficiency, and preferably a CPA. Base salary $90,000–$110,000; visa sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end close, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
• Oversee revenue recognition, inventory, intercompany accounting, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, and fixed assets.
• Review financial statements and internal reporting packages, and analyze balance sheet and P&L fluctuations for business insights.
• Manage cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and liquidity activities.
• Partner with Supply Chain on inventory controls, reporting, forecasting, cycle counts, and inventory turns.
• Develop accounting policies, procedures, and documentation, and implement process improvements and automation.
• Manage and develop staff accountants, support external audits and public reporting readiness, and collaborate across teams.

About the Role

Join the Finance team at a direct-to-consumer healthtech company as its Accounting Manager. You will help maintain accurate, scalable financial operations across eCommerce, inventory, and healthcare-related activities while strengthening controls and supporting business growth.

What You’ll Do

• Own the month-end close, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, with 5 or more years of accounting experience, including public accounting, and 2 to 3 years in an accounting manager role.
• Strong U.S. GAAP and technical accounting knowledge; CPA certification is preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems and strong Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.
• Experience managing complex accounting operations in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Ability to interpret balance sheet and P&L fluctuations and translate financial data into clear business insights.
• eCommerce, healthcare, telemedicine, or inventory-based business experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and people management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $90,000 to $110,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
