F&W Forestry Services, Inc. in Albany, GA seeks a full-time Assistant Controller to support the Controller in daily financial operations and compliance. You will help prepare financial statements, analyze data, and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced environment.

The role covers month-end/year-end closings, budgeting, payroll/tax reporting, and internal controls, with supervision of two or more staff. A strong accounting background is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5–7 years of accounting experience.
• GAAP knowledge and financial reporting experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Analyze financial data and prepare management reports.
• Prepare budget reports and forecast financial trends.
• Perform daily accounting tasks such as reconciliations, journal entries, and adjusting entries.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Assist in internal/external audits and regulatory compliance.
• Support month-end and year-end closings.
• Assist with payroll and tax reporting as needed.
• Contribute to process improvements and cross-departmental projects.
