Our client is currently seeking a Controller to join their team. This is a contract position.

Location: Albany, NY

Responsibilities

• Oversee all direct reports.
• Provide leadership to the company's financial authority.
• Work in conjunction with executive leadership to ensure operational profitability.
• Provide oversight to all financial operations, including payroll, accounts receivable/payable, ledger maintenance, and intercompany transactions.
• Oversee monthly and year‑end processes.
• Evaluate ways to innovate reporting processes and financial systems.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
• 5+ years of accounting experience is required (preferably not in a for-profit setting).
• CPA preferred.
• Must be experienced with compliance, accounting principles, and financial reporting.
• M-F 8 AM - 4 PM
