Job summary

CFS is seeking an Assistant Controller – Ownership Accounting to lead accounting and financial reporting for a diversified portfolio including trusts, real estate, and private investments. This role partners with senior leadership and oversees treasury, liquidity planning, and investment-related accounting.

The position demands CPA, 7–10+ years in multi-entity accounting, and strong Excel/financial analysis skills, with a track record of leading teams and managing external advisors.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience with multi-entity, investment, and financial reporting.
• CPA required with strong treasury/cash forecasting and advanced Excel/financial analysis capabilities.
• Experience leading people, projects, and/or external advisor relationships with executive presence.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting and financial reporting across multiple entities, trusts, partnerships, LLCs, and investment structures.
• Prepare and review financial reporting and analysis for senior leadership while overseeing annual reporting processes.
• Manage treasury and liquidity planning, including cash forecasting, capital funding, debt servicing, and other significant transactions.
• Oversee accounting and reporting for marketable securities, private equity, real estate, and alternative investments.
• Partner with internal teams and external advisors while mentoring accounting staff and driving process and reporting improvements.
