Job summary

STG Construction is seeking an Accounting Controller to own the monthly close, lead the accounting team, and deliver accurate consolidated financial statements. You will supervise assistants in AP and AR, review unit statements for accuracy, and maintain GL integrity with strong internal controls.

You’ll partner with the CFO to improve close processes and reporting, ensuring construction-specific accounting like WIP, percentage-of-completion, and job costing are handled correctly across multiple

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
At least 5 years of accounting experience.
2+ years in a supervisory or team lead role.
Construction industry accounting experience (WIP, percentage-of-completion, job costing, AIA, certified payroll).
Strong working proficiency in Excel.

Responsibilities

Own the monthly close and produce accurate, timely consolidated financial statements.
Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team (AP/AR) and review their work.
Review business-unit financial statements for accuracy and completeness.
Perform multi-entity consolidation and maintain GL integrity and internal controls.
Provide day-to-day guidance to AP/AR and ensure timely reporting.
Partner with the CFO to improve close processes and team capabilities.
