Job summary

Acousti Engineering Company of Florida is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to partner with the Controller in managing accounting operations, monthly close, and financial reporting for our construction-focused projects.

The role emphasizes ownership, process improvement, and leadership as the organization grows; will oversee reconciliations, audit support, and internal controls while maintaining GAAP compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Approximately seven or more years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong construction accounting experience is required.
• Experience managing, supervising, or leading accounting employees is required.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes and calendars.
• Assist with preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Analyze account activity, variances, and provide explanations to Controller.
• Support sister company accounting close, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Support audits, internal controls, and implementation of improvements.
• Lead or mentor accounting staff as organization grows.
