BMS CAT & Blackmon Mooring is seeking an Assistant Controller to lead month-end close, manage balance sheet accuracy, and oversee lease accounting per US GAAP. You will supervise one Senior Accountant, coordinate with accounting teams, and support audits and covenant reporting.

The role requires strong Excel and ERP skills, with 7+ years of progressive accounting experience and a CPA preference. The position is on-site in Haltom City, TX, with bonus potential and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of accounting experience with close ownership.
• (max 140 chars)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA a plus.
• Experience with ERP systems and US GAAP; strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Maintain ASC 842 lease accounting database and journal entries.
• Oversee prepaid expense schedules and reconciliations.
• Review corporate department P&L and reclassify entries.
• Supervise one Senior Accountant and mentor staff.
• Assist with annual audits and revolving line of credit reviews.
• Develop internal controls and support ad hoc analyses.
