Job summary

Bell & Associates, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Controller to support the Controller in managing accounting operations, financial reporting, and year-end close activities.

This role requires a strong accounting background and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a team environment. Responsibilities include overseeing AP, billing, payroll, cash application, GL, fixed assets, and job costing, along with preparing financial statements and supporting audits.

Qualifications

• CPA certification required.
• 5+ years of accounting experience including AP, billing, payroll, cash application, GL, fixed assets, job costing, and financial statement prep.
• Extensive audit experience; public accounting or audit firm experience preferred.
• Experience with Oracle accounting information systems preferred.
• Experience with OneStream planning and reporting software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the management of daily accounting functions.
• Oversee and/or assist with accounts payable, billing, payroll, cash application, and general ledger activities.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Manage fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and reconciliations.
• Assist with job costing and related financial analysis.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports.
• Support internal and external audits and provide requested documentation.
• Assist with maintaining accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Identify and implement process improvements.
• Perform other accounting and financial duties as assigned.
