Job summary

Dover Fueling Solutions (DFS) in Austin, TX, seeks an Assistant Controller – Accounting Operations to lead AP/AR and related transactional processes within a multi-site setting. The role combines hands-on accounting leadership with strong internal controls and cross-functional collaboration.

The ideal candidate has a track record of improving transactional accounting operations, teams, and process automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with AP/AR leadership.
• 2+ years of people leadership or direct management experience.
• Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel; workflow tools a plus.
• CPA or CPA-track preferred but not required.
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and project-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, billing, collections, cash application, and related transactional accounting processes.
• Develop KPIs and monitor aging, working capital, and service levels.
• Maintain strong internal controls and drive process improvements across AP/AR.
• Lead and coach AP/AR teams and collaborate with cross-functional partners.
• Support monthly close, reporting, audits, and finance transformation initiatives.
