Optimize Search Group in Dallas is seeking an Assistant Controller to oversee the AP/AR functions, inventory accounting, and reporting across roughly 30 locations, partnering with the Controller to improve processes and strengthen controls. The ideal candidate has 7–10+ years of accounting experience, public accounting a plus, strong Excel and ERP skills, and CPA preferred.

• 7–10+ years of accounting experience.
• Public accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in a multi-unit retail, manufacturing, distribution, or similar multi-location environment.
• Strong inventory accounting and reconciliation experience.
• Previous experience managing or developing AP/AR teams.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP/accounting systems.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with multiple locations.
• CPA preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and develop the AP and AR teams (5 direct reports).
• Oversee inventory accounting, reporting, reconciliations, and related journal entries.
• Review and reconcile inventory and AP subledgers to the general ledger.
• Support month-end close, including account reconciliations and journal entries.
• Monitor financial reporting and investigate discrepancies across multiple locations.
• Partner with branch and operational leadership to resolve billing and accounting issues.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve internal controls, and increase efficiency.
• Support accounting systems and integration improvements.
• Assist with applicable sales, use, and other tax filings.
