Job summary

CFS in Windsor, CT is seeking an Assistant Controller to partner with site leadership on growth initiatives and cost reduction. You will own month-end close and financial reporting while maintaining strong internal controls.

The role provides exposure to manufacturing accounting, standard costs, cost analysis, inventory controls, and collaboration with operations to drive plant performance and data-driven decisions. A 3+ year accounting background and a Bachelor's degree are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of audit and accounting experience with demonstrated career progression.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close and financial reporting.
• Maintain strong SOX 404 controls and auditor relationships.
• Support standard cost and manufacturing accounting.
• Analyze controllable expenses and drive cost reductions.
• Manage inventory controls, cycle counting, and physical inventory.
• Handle fixed assets, tooling, and capital accounting.
• Partner with operations leaders to improve plant performance.
• Increase financial discipline and decision-making across the business.
