Job summary

CFS is hiring an Assistant Controller to oversee daily accounting operations and financial reporting, while guiding month-end closes and internal controls. This role partners with cross-functional teams to optimize budgeting, cash flow, and process improvements, ensuring GAAP compliance.

The ideal candidate brings 7–12+ years in accounting, construction/job costing experience, and a CPA preference, with CMiC or similar ERP familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 7–12+ years of progressive accounting experience (construction/job costing/WIP preferred).
• Strong knowledge of GAAP; CPA preferred.
• Experience with construction ERP systems (CMiC a plus).

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting.
• Support month-end/year-end close and review financial statements.
• Lead AP function and partner on process improvements across teams.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure GAAP compliance; support audits, tax preparation, and regulatory reporting.
